Today was just one of those days where nothing seemed to go as planned!

I woke up late, forgot to pour a tumbler of coffee before leaving for work (I NEED coffee, I am NOT a morning person) and on top of that, I sat in traffic for 30+ mins. exactly two exits away from the office....with no coffee. Wonderful.

Oh, and I also didn't do my devotional this morning because I was running late. But it was honestly a blessing in disguise (as most mishaps are) because as I sat down to read what I had missed tonight, it was a total blessing and exactly what I needed to hear after the emotional roller-coaster that was today (I'll spare you the details).

So here's the little nugget of knowledge from Jesus Calling:

"Rest in My Presence. The world around you seems to spin faster and faster, till everything is a blur. Yet there is a cushion of calm at the center of your life, where you live in union with Me. Return to Me as often as you can, for this is where you are energized: filled with My Love, Joy, and Peace.

The world is a needy place; do not go there for sustenance. Instead, come to Me. Learn to depend on Me alone, and your weakness will become My Power. When you find your completeness in Me, you can help other people without using them to meet your own needs. Live in the Light of My Presence, and your light will shine brightly into the lives of others."

Did I mention I am seriously craving a vacation (hence the photo)....too bad I'm in the real world and not on Spring Break right now....
